Our Founders


Our founding partners’ collective experience includes 22 years as reserve consultants with Netherland, Sewell, & Associates, Inc.; 30 years as senior advisors at Petrie Parkman, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Anderson Oil & Gas, Inc.; and 18 years as industry executives at Exxon and Wynn-Crosby Energy.

We devote the full resources of our team to every transaction. Our primary goal is to achieve maximum value for our clients. Long-term relationships are fundamental to successful transactions. Company principals manage each step in the execution of every transaction.

Randy King
Managing Partner

Randall E. King is a founding member and Managing Partner of Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC ("AK"). Prior to forming AK in 2012, Mr. King was a Managing Director for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s oil and gas divestiture business and supervised a team of professionals based in Houston.

Mr. King joined Petrie Parkman at its founding in 1989 and was extensively involved in closing over $65B of transactions at the firm. His experience includes advising clients on over 130 divestitures with Petrie Parkman, as well as numerous acquisition, merger, fairness opinion, and restructuring assignments for public and private companies of all sizes.

He has a long history of working with the public and private upstream independent sector in providing liquidity options and strategic transaction services.

Bill Anderson
Managing Partner

William D. Anderson, PE, is a founding member and Managing Partner of Anderson King Energy Consultants, LLC (“AK”). Prior to the formation of AK, Mr. Anderson formed Anderson O&G, Inc. (“AOG”) in 2005, a boutique energy sector advisory and consulting business oriented towards acquisition and divestiture activities. AOG successfully closed over 35 separate transactions as financial advisor or co-advisor with an aggregate value of over $4.2B.

Mr. Anderson provides ongoing consulting services to clients including: LLOG Exploration Company, SUNOCO, Crimson Energy Partners, Axis Energy Corporation, Trek Resources, Inc., and LoIn Energy Corporation.
